MAKE A UNIQUE STAINED GLASS SUN-CATCHER USING THE COPPER FOIL METHOD, WHILE LEARNING ABOUT THE EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES AND STAINED GLASS TECHNIQUES. THIS COURSE IS FOR BEGINNERS OR FOR ANYONE LOOKING FOR A REFRESHER.
IN THIS INTRODUCTION TO STAINED GLASS CLASS, YOU’LL RECEIVE STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS AND COMPLETE YOUR PROJECT IN ONE SESSION. YOU’LL LEARN HOW TO CUT, GRIND, COPPER FOIL AND SOLDER YOUR SUNCATCHER TOGETHER, AS WELL AS COAT THE SILVER SOLDER BLACK (IF YOU SO CHOOSE).
A SELECTION OF POLLINATOR THEMED MATERIAL WILL BE PREPARED FOR YOU, CHOOSE BETWEEN A BUTTERFLY, BEE, HONEYCOMB OR HONEY JAR IN YOUR CHOICE OF COLORS.
- RECOMMENDED FOR AGES 18+, OR A TEEN ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.

Ray of Light Glasswork is owned and operated by Amanda Hawthorne who lives and works in Northumberland County, ON.
Amanda started creating stained glass in 2020. She loves bringing new ideas to life and how modern the craft has become. She finds the process of making stained glass exciting and loves the attention to detail every step of the way.
Over the past 3 years, Amanda has had the opportunity to teach stained glass workshops, build a larger portfolio and take on many custom projects.
When out of the studio, you can find her spending time kayaking, running, and enjoying life’s little moments.
